(MAY 17) -- Cottonwood Resource Council has received a few letters of thanks in recent weeks. One letter comes from state Representative Gail Gutsche, House Whip and sponsor of the Small Mine Responsibility Act, which passed the legislature in 2005.

Another letter comes from President of the Montana Senate Jon Tester (D-Big Sandy), who wrote to Northern Plains and its affiliates to thank them for their hard work in passing the Country of Origin Labeling Act.

Another third letter comes from Bill Avey, Big Timber District Ranger, thanking CRC for its support of the Boulder River Fuels Reduction Project, an effort to create a clear escape route for Boulder Valley residents in the event of a fire in this narrow mountain valley.
